Hello again, everybody! How have you all been? It's been a while since I updated my page, eons since I touched my journal. I've been spending a lot of time doing all sorts of stuff, from model painting to sculpting to shooping for the Sailor Moon manga translation group Miss Dream (you should totally go and check out the website, by the way, Elly does some awesome translations!).

     I've currently got a few projects going (as usual). My Saber Lily kit that I had ordered for Christmas last year finally came in on my birthday (21! ), but I've only just gotten started on her a few weeks ago. Even in the semi-permanent drunken stupor I was trapped in (well, maybe not trapped against my will, lol) I knew I was going to have a hard time with this kit. Like, a really hard time. The instructions are pretty hard to follow, the dress pieces don't fit together too well, and I may or may not have done a whoopsie and made it impossible to fit her armored arms through the sleeves (so princess gloves it is, I guess...). I've finally got that puttied to death with half of the parts primed and ready to be painted.
     I've also decided to finish painting the plastic Gundam model I bought for , a Gundam BB Senshi Three Kingdoms Lu-Bu Tall Geese and Red Hare. Red Hare turns into a motorcycle! That's gone...nearly no where, lol.
     I also have an SD Super Sailor Chibi-Moon who I am painting. I've got quite a bit of color on her (mainly white, pink and a black under coat for the metallic paint I will be using). I'm putting off painting her hair and back bow because they are cast in clear resin and mixing transparent paint with gloss varnish on a paper plate is a pain in the butt, but I'm also too lazy to go to the store and buy $0.99 paint trays...

     Finally, I'm working on a new Pokemon sculpt! I originally intended to do them all in order...but Ivysaur was misbehaving and I don't want to deal with him when he's like this. So I pulled up Random.org and told it to pick a number 1-649, it did as instructed and I am now sculpting a Pokemon I've never even heard of before. If anyone wants to guess I'll give you guys a hint: It's from the Hoenn region and it's blue. You won't win anything if you guess right, except the satisfaction that you are better than everyone else at guessing!

My current model projects:

+Volks 1/4 KOS-MOS - about 85% done painting and assembling body, haven't started the gun...
+Cloud Strife and the Hardy Daytona - HD completely painted, frame and wheels assembled. Need to finish painting base. Haven't started Cloud.
+Sailor Neptune Deep Submerge - In prep stages. Awful fit, needs tons of prep. May do a WIP for her.
+HellKite Escalayer - In prep stages. Pretty bad fit...
+Sailor Mars repaint - Still removing paint. On the back burner for a while...

I need to get through these models and save up money because Volks came out with a 1/4 Bayonetta model. Which I must have! Also have Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Mercury models on preorder, but they're probably never going to come in. And I'm still waiting on my Saber Lily model, also on preorder. Urg, lol.

I got a new car yesterday! It's a silver 2001 Volkswagen New Beetle GLS. For it's age it's in fantastic shape, it's a really awesome little car. The guy who sold it to us was very straightforward about everything. He showed us all the dings and scrapes and everything. My dad and I were really impressed. We tested the car out and decided to buy it right away. The name of the dealer is "eBZZmotors.com". They're located in southern New Jersey, but they will ship anywhere, I believe. If you're looking for a good used car in that area, you should check it out. The guy doesn't have a ton of cars, but he won't jerk you around, which is nice.

It's taking some getting used to, just the interior is a whole new world from my Honda Civic. Also, I need to learn to drive a manual...My dad gave me a lesson in the local elementary school parking lot yesterday evening and I started to get it after about an hour. I even managed to get it home with little incident. Today I took it for a spin around the neighborhood, trying out hills and corners and such. I needed to head to the bank, so I drove there by myself. Ground the gears a few times and had a little trouble backing out of the parking space, but I got there and back without much trouble.

I'm so glad this whole thing is over! No more leases or sharing cars, this Bug is all mine! Can't wait to get the hang of the manual trans, then I'll really be stylin'!

So my poor, beloved Honda Civic is toast. My father did -something- to it...and the front passenger-side wheel broke off at the axle or something. It literally looks like a pissed off grizzly bear came over and clawed at the hood and then tore the wheel off. Words cannot describe how angry I am, that was a practically brand new car and now it's scrap metal. At over $12,000 of repair costs, the insurance company is calling it a total loss. Damn.

Needless to say, I'm in the market for a new car. However, I'm pretty much broke. The good news is that the insurance company is paying off our lease on the car. The other, even better news is Honda asked for less than the insurance company estimated the car was worth...which means I get a nice little check which will be going towards my new car. Thank god!

Right now I'm looking at a super cute car: it's a '98 BMW 3 Series convertible. Only a couple grand and ratings seem pretty good on this model. I'm hopehopehoping this pans out, I really need a car. Right now, and I do a car shuffle everyday because both of us need to be at work at the same time. I drop him off at work, go to work myself and then go back to his work so he can take the car and drop me off at home. What a pain in the ass. And without a car of my own, I can't really go to the barn except to work. So I haven't been able to even groom, let alone ride, my horse. You know, the one I muck out stalls 20 hours a week to keep? Yeah, that's the one...Thanks, dad, I really appreciate it.

In other news: I just finished reading the third book in the Mortal Instruments series, and it totally blew my mind! It's nice to finally find a series worth reading.
